I’m a final year medical student. I used to be a very confident and focused person and very good at my studies before but over a few years it has decreased.
It's not uncommon to experience a loss of confidence and interest in our work, whether we are students or experienced professionals. When this happens, it's important to take action to rekindle your passion and find new inspiration in your daily routine.
One way to do this is by embracing new experiences and trying new things. Even small changes in your daily routine can make a big difference in how you feel. For example, you could try doing a task you normally do with your right hand with your left hand instead or take a completely new route to work instead of your usual path.
These small changes can help your brain to think differently and release a different set of chemicals, which can help you feel more energized and motivated. By incorporating newness and variety into your daily routine, you can break out of the rut you may be feeling and open yourself up to new possibilities and opportunities.
So my advice to you is to try something new every day, even if it's just a small change. Take a different approach to a task, try a new hobby, or connect with someone you wouldn't normally talk to. By challenging yourself and stepping out of your comfort zone, you may discover new passions and find renewed excitement in your work and your life.
